Guides by process
The same Lattice documentation, organized by process. Each guide walks through one process from start to end, in order, names the role that does each stage and how you know the stage is done, and links to the goal on the role page that holds the steps. Use a process guide the first time you do something, or when several people take part; use the role pages when you already know what you want to do.
| Process | Outcome | Who takes part | How often |
|---|---|---|---|
| Set up Lattice in an environment | Lattice installed, secured, configured and checked, ready for the first integration. | Administrator, data management consultant, developer, operator | Once per environment |
| Onboard a new integration | An external system calling Lattice in production, with its own identity and monitoring in place. | Developer, administrator, operator | Once per integration |
| Monitor integrations every day | Failures, backlogs and silent senders found the same day. | Operator, administrator | Every day, with a weekly review |
| Respond to a failed integration | A failure found, understood, fixed and reprocessed, and kept from happening again. | Operator, administrator, developer, data management consultant | When something fails |
| Run recurring data jobs | Recurring imports and exports set up, watched and repaired, with alerts when a job's health changes. | Data management consultant, administrator, operator | Per job, then every day |
| Migrate data in bulk | Data loaded with data management and set-based entities, journals posted and the result reconciled. | Data management consultant, administrator, developer | Per migration, and per rehearsal |
| Take a Lattice or Finance and Operations update | An update deployed with configuration, mappings, background processes and events checked before and after. | Administrator, data management consultant, developer, operator | Per release, in each environment |
| Review integration access and activity | Who can do what, and who did what, reviewed and recorded. | Administrator, database access administrator, read-only reviewer | On a schedule you set, and when someone leaves |
The step-by-step walkthroughs of single business outcomes (a sales order to invoice, a vendor payment, a bulk journal import) are the scenarios.
